Holy Land Trip Registration Open
Join Pastor Rick and Teri for a trip to the Holy Land with an option to see Jordan on April 9-18, 2018 (add four days for Jordan). Sights include the Sea of Galilee, Jerusalem, the Mount of Olives, Wailing Wall, Temple Mount, Dead Sea, Garden Tomb, Petra and more! Register at www.discoveryworldwideministries.com. Cost is $4,299, plus $1,009 for Jordan. Contact Sarah Sutton if you have additional questions. Registration deadline is November 21, 2017, with a $500 deposit. Final Payment deadline is January 9, 2018.

Momentum Service
Kick off the fall semester on Wednesday, August 23. An all-church cookout will take place at 5 p.m., featuring Roxy’s Ice Cream truck (self-pay). At 6:15 p.m. in the Chapel, Guest speaker Lance Lang, who is highly sought-after for his amazing testimony of recovery, will share stories of hope and the importance of living life in community. Special activities are planned for children and students.

September is Missions Month
September is Missions Month at CRBC, and we have some exciting ways to get involved! Shop the Missions Market every Sunday in September, sign-up to be part of the Missions Dinner for eight where you can enjoy a meal with other CRBC members and learn about our missions partners, and show us the creative ways your group is reaching its missions offering goal! Dodgeball and Ping-Pong Intramural Teams

Senior Adult Daytime Bible Study
Bible study begins Wednesday, September 6, at 10 a.m. Dr. Stan Lightfoot will be teaching every week. Thank you to Laddie Adams for investing in this group and leading the past ten years.

Legacy Builders
A manly man’s Bible study will begin on Tuesday, August 22, from 6:30 – 7:15 a.m. at the Cube. We will study the book of Romans this fall. Contact John Jensen.

School Supplies 
We’re collecting school supplies for three under-resourced neighborhood elementary schools, Hilldale, Western Oaks and Apollo. Please bring your donations to the Missions Kiosk. Suggestions include sturdy pocket folders, glue sticks, dry-erase markers, spiral notebooks and construction paper. We will be collecting supplies through September 10. Contact Makenzie Magnus.

Start Here Class
All newcomers are invited to the next “Start Here” class on Sunday, September 3, at 10:15 a.m. in the Missions Café. God is changing lives at Council Road so find out how to experience that firsthand and how to become involved in all that is available here for you! Women’s Ministry Launch
Remember that we begin at 6:30 at the Cube this Thursday, August 24, for THE BIG REVEAL: Women's Ministry Launch! We’ll enjoy dinner, fun and exciting plans to be revealed. Bring school supplies for neighborhood elementary schools. Suggestions include wide-lined paper, pencils, sturdy pocket folders, glue sticks, dry-erase markers, spiral notebooks, markers, backpacks, plastic school boxes, construction paper and composition notebooks.  

Body Life Service is August 27
Our quarterly Body Life service is Sunday, August 27, at 6 p.m. Join us for worship, the latest financial news, introduction of new deacons, the Lord’s Supper, and a fellowship afterward.

Coffee and Theology
Our next class begins Wednesday, August 30, at 6:15 p.m. in Room 200. We will study the doctrines of Scripture systematically, which means we try to be clear, organized and complete, as we seek the full counsel of God on any given topic. This semester we will continue to explore how God applies the gift of salvation, and the implications for His people as those entrusted with the Gospel concerning Christ. Our specific topics will be the Gospel Call, Regeneration, Conversion and Justification. We will also take some time to acknowledge the 500th anniversary of the Reformation and the contributions of some key leaders in church history. Mike Romero and Todd Tamura teach the class. Please come join us!

Women’s Fall Bible Studies
LADIES, come back to Bible Study at CRBC! We will be offering two studies this fall - one on Wednesday evening at 6:15 in Room 203 beginning August 30 and the other on Thursday morning at 9:30 in Room 200 beginning August 31. The Wednesday study it titled All Things New by Kelly Minter. It consists of eight sessions and covers 2 Corinthians. The workbook is $13, and free children's programming is provided. God's church is meant to thrive in any city and circumstance. Join this study to see how! The Thursday study is titled Entrusted by Beth Moore. It is six sessions on 2 Timothy, and the workbook is $13. Childcare is $10/each with a $20 maximum charge. Joining this study will help you guard what God has entrusted to you and to pour it into future generations! K-LOVE Christmas Tour
The K-LOVE Christmas tour is returning to CRBC on December 2 and features Steven Curtis Chapman, Hillary Scott and the Scott Family and We Are Messengers. Performance begins at 7 p.m., and tickets are now available only at http://www.klove.com/events/christmas-tour/. All seating is general admission, and doors will open at approximately 6 p.m. See the K-LOVE website if you are interested in volunteering, or if you would like to purchase VIP seats.

Managing Our Finances God's Way
Come join us for a seven-week, video-based, small group study beginning Wednesday, August 30, at 6:15 p.m. in Missions Cafe. You will hear from experts on the subject of biblical financial management. Cost for materials is $15. Please register now so we know how many workbooks to order. Senior Adult Exercise Classes
Okie Motion exercise classes take place in the Cube Auditorium every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 9 a.m. Cost is $1 per class. Tai Chi classes are on Tuesdays and Thursdays for $2 per class from 1 to 1:45 p.m. in the Cube Auditorium. Kathy Huffman teaches both classes.

Senior Adult First Thursday Potluck 
Everyone is welcome to join us on September 7 in Room 100 at 6 p.m. for food, fun and games. Bring a dish and enjoy some great fellowship. Contact Claree Cox.

Hands for Missions
We need help making quilts for DHS foster children and crafts for the homebound. Join us on the first three Thursdays of every month in Room 100 from 9-11 a.m.

Grief Share Class
Come find help and encouragement after the death of a spouse, child, family member, or friend during this 13-week class beginning August 30 at 6:15 p.m. in Room 100. This is your journey from mourning to joy as you learn the journey and lessons of grief. You may begin attending at any time during the semester. Contact Tracey Jines.

New Series Beginning in Karis Support Group 
Our new series will begin August 30 and is titled "Rooted: Gospel-Driven Parenting for Struggling Parents." Please invite foster and adoptive families in your lives from inside and outside our church as this is a great outreach for us to help families who feel isolated. The Karis Support Group meets on Wednesdays at 6:15 p.m. in C201. It is for foster parents, adoptive parents, Safe Families volunteers, mentors, or anyone who works with children who don't live with their biological parents. Contact Carisa Wilsie.

DivorceCare 
Find help, discover hope, and experience healing each Wednesday at 6:15 p.m. in Room 204. DivorceCare features dynamic video seminars with renowned experts on divorce and recovering. You will learn how to deal with the pain of the past while looking forward to rebuilding your life. There are a variety of programs at the same time on the church campus for preschool through teenagers. Dinner is also served in Maroney Hall from 5-6 p.m. Contact Sue Ellen Ferguson at ferguson@councilroad.org for information.

Celebrate Recovery
If you struggle with habits, hurts and hang-ups, then join us each Friday night at 5:45 in Maroney Hall as we pray for a clear mind and clean heart, and as we search for God's will for our lives. We enjoy dinner, a praise and worship time, testimonies, support groups, and a fellowship dessert time each week. With an awareness of God's love, we can't lose! 2020 Giving Campaign
If you have not previously had an opportunity to participate in giving to the 2020 campaign, you may jump in anytime. We are using these funds to pay for our beautiful new facility upgrades. Give above and beyond your regular tithe to help us pay off the debt by December 2020. Give in the bucket on Sundays, give at www.councilroad.org/give, or text "building" and the amount to 405.652.0607. If you have questions, contact Jason Arnold.

Mustard Seed App
You may now give to the 2020 Campaign through your everyday purchases with your credit or debit card with a new, free app called Mustard Seed. Load the app and choose CRBC as the recipient. When you use the linked card to make a purchase, the app will round up the purchase price to the nearest dollar and then send that amount to CRBC 2020 Campaign. For example, if your purchase is $5.25, the app will charge your card an additional $0.75. You can set a limit for how much you want to send as well as a minimum amount to send. The link to the app is www.mustardseedapp.org/councilroad.
